Lanata

“Lanata” made with Pandanus leaves sourced from Vanuatu, locally used to weave mats or baskets, or even used to build their homes. Combined with cement, as modern influences I saw on the island, many people were using cinder blocks to build homes instead of thatched huts. Yet many of these were left abandoned due to arguments of who was able to claim the materials and property.
